At 8 years old I moved from the great state of Montana, to the northern most state of Alaska. For much of my life I longed to go back and felt as though my only true home was in Montana and the western landscape I held in my most core memories. The west is not just Montana, it is also Alaska, and Colorado. It holds a ruggedness and beauty that is unmatched and holds landscapes that make me feel at home in the great outdoors. Later in life I found home to be much more complicated- much less of a singular physical place. It still is out west.
