This 4 ft x 4 ft watercolor was my first large scale watercolor using handmade watercolor paints. The concept idea stemmed from the childlike wonder I had, the huge thunder storms that would shake the ground and make you wonder, what was up there making all that noise?

This piece is a personal favorite and has a special place in my heart, the warm color palette and loose stylization of the horses makes it feel both nostalgic and imaginative.
