Summers at the Creek- A painting and a poem (of sorts)

hot summer days, humid, rows of corn and soybeans,

thunder storms, corn on the cob, fourth of july,

that was summers at the creek,

biking county roads, exploring places we grew up knowing,

library, cafe, gilberts, gas station, park, fireman’s picnic,

that was summers at the creek,

it was the best of times,

I will always miss the years of my life,

when we had a summer at the creek.
